Yesterday afternoon at 1430 hrs and ....

... we should be watching the colourful, 26 strong fleet of single-handed, ocean racing yachts, manoeuvring near the start line in Plymouth Sound during the last few seconds before the starting canon is fired to set them off on their way to New York City.


But the weather conditions, inside the Breakwater, were considered too hazardous for close quarter racing in a confined space, so the start line was moved out to open sea beyond the Breakwater.
