Looking across the rooftops of Stonehouse.

Stonehouse is an area of Plymouth on the shore of Plymouth Sound,
where for many years after the 2nd World War, its many impressive, large, Victorian houses
suffered neglect and became very shabby.

But that has changed dramatically in the last ten years or so, as the imaginative redevelopment of the iconic Royal William Yard, the one time Naval Victualing Headquarters, gathered momentum.

The conversion of the large Victorian industrial buildings into very desirable
waterfront apartments, restaurants, bistros, bars, boutiques and galleries
has transformed Stonehouse into a very popular area indeed
