Yesterday was a beautiful day for a walk in the park.

There are several large National Trust properties very close to the city of Plymouth,

each of which has splendid parkland, open to the public, and they are all beautiful at this time of year.

This is Saltram Park, on the bank of the River Plym, no more than 3 miles from the centre of the city.

Mount Edgcumbe Park is at the mouth of the River Tamar, and follows the shore of Plymouth Sound.
Antony House is also in Cornwall on the bank of the River Lynher.
both of these are easily reached by public transport. (Bus and Ferry)
