A Tale of Three Towers

This is the Anglo Catholic Church of
St Peter and The Holy Apostles, in Wyndham Square, Plymouth.

This is the Roman Catholic Cathedral
of St Mary and St Boniface, in Wyndham Street, Plymouth

They were both completed in the mid nineteenth century,
and legend has it that there was a great deal of rivalry over which building was the taller.

But they are both towered over by this 22 floor student accommodation block.

Which coincidentally is on a direct sight line linking all three.
