Crossing the River Tamar.

These car ferries cross the Tamar from Torpoint, in Cornwall, to Devonport.

At peak times there are three ferries crossing to and fro.

The ferry slipway on the Plymouth side of the river, is very close to the massive, covered repair facility,in the Devonport Naval Dockyard, just behind behind the clock tower

 in the picture below.
