The quay sides in the historic Barbican area were packed with families enjoying the atmosphere.
Most of the children were dressed as pirates and there were some very convincing adults.
Now I can't be absolutely sure, but I think I saw Johnny Depp in the crowd.
I think the eye gives him away.
