The Royal William Yard

For hundreds of years Plymouth's history has been interlinked with that of The Royal Navy.
The Royal William Yard, built in the 1820s, was the major victualling depot for the Navy.
Inevitably, as time passed, it became outdated and it was released by the Navy in 1992.
It is now well underway in its transformation into 'an up market, mixed use development'.
In addition to the expensive apartments, it has restaurants, bistros, and bars, boutiques and galleries,
and the first hotel is currently nearing completion.
