Earlier this Summer

I stepped ashore in St Peter Port in Guernsey, one of the beautiful Channel Islands
just off the French coast. It was my second visit, my first being over 60 years ago.

Guernsey lies about 100 miles from Plymouth, across the busy shipping lanes of the English Channel.
