Looking across the River Tamar.

We are on the shore at Mount Edgecumbe Park, on the Cornish bank,
 close to the mouth of the river, where it flows into Plymouth Sound.
We are looking across the water to England from the ancient Celtic land of Kernow.
On right hand side of the image lies Drake's Island, in Plymouth Sound.


 On the extreme left of the images above and below, 
you see the short pier from which the ferry service linking Cornwall to the Plymouth runs.
This ferry crosses from Cremyll to the Stonehouse district of Plymouth.
