The start of a busy week linking the Celtic fringe.

The Pont Aven, which can carry up to 2,400 passengers and 650 cars, noses out of Millbay Dock in Plymouth at noon on Friday to begin its usual weekly criss-crossing schedule; goes like this. (all local times)

Friday           1200 leaves Plymouth for Roscoff in Brittany
                     1900 arrives Roscoff
                     2115 leaves Roscoff for Cork in Ireland
Saturday        1000 arrives Cork
                     1600 leaves Cork for Roscoff
Sunday          0700 arrives back in Roscoff
                     0915 leaves Roscoff for Plymouth
                     1330 arrives back in Plymouth
                     1530 leaves Plymouth for Santander in Spain
Monday        1200 arrives Santander
Wednesday   2100 leaves Santander for Plymouth
Thursday       1600 arrives back in Plymouth
