While Spring time brings warmer weather 

it also heralds an increase in the intensity the "war substitute rituals", 

that have been going on throughout the winter.

These epic battles are known as "Cup Finals" 

because the winning team marches off the battlefield clutching a large, shiny, cup-like, silver trophy,

which is then paraded before the warriors' cheering tribe.
