Deux Chiens de Roscoff

Yesterday we went to France for the day. There is a ferry link between Plymouth and Roscoff in Brittany. Our excuse is to do a little shopping, but in recent times inflation in France and the falling rates of exchange between the pound and the euro have put an end to some of the previous savings that could be made. The truth is we just like to go over for lunch and a wander around a beautiful area.

We met two wonderful french dogs, one very large the other very small. The first was at the Red Cash Wine and Beer outlet, one of the many of its type clustered around every ferry port. He was very friendly and calm and his role was "meet and greet", certainly not security. The other one was very small, very smartly 'dressed', and performed similar duties at a gift shop near the harbour.

Some more of Roscoff tomorrow.
