If you have wondered why your local gulls are more aggressive than usual at the moment, here is the answer. This nest is in the middle of a site cleared for redevelopment which is surrounded by a high fence so the birds had no humans to drive away.
However if you have an apartment on the top floor of the building, and the gulls are nesting on your roof, then your balcony will continue to be a no go area until the chicks have left the nest.
