Plymouth is a very hilly city.
This house is on Lambhay Hill in the Barbican area, but the problem is repeated all over the city.
How can you sit outside your front door with a glass of wine and your newspaper in the evening sun?
But I came across a far grander solution to the same problem
in Vigo, the beautiful city on the Atlantic Coast of North West Spain.
This steep hill leads up from the port area to the centre of town.
But as you can see, the climb is worth it, for at the top
is this great Pulperia" or Octopus Restaurant.
