A couple of days ago I posted a picture of Plymouth's, very modest, tallest building.
It's comparative diminutive stature probably explains why I have always loved the really tall buildings I have encountered on my travels around the world. Since foreign travel has been out of the question for more than a year now, I have been looking back through images of some of my favourites, and over the next few days I'd like to share some.
Close to home in Amsterdam I came across these tiny people as we sailed into the heart of the city.
The one man welcoming committee on the rooftop.
