Moon Rise over the Border

 

The border between the two counties of Devon and Cornwall runs along the middle of the River Tamar, as it flows from its source, near the Atlantic coast of the two counties, south across the South West Peninsula of England, to the city of Plymouth on the coast of the English Channel.  

Rivalry between the two counties is centuries old, but nowadays is largely confined to sporting encounters in all the major sports. 

The "Frontier" is in the middle of each of the bridges, one road and the the other rail, which link the two counties at Saltash, on the Cornish Bank to Plymouth on the Devon bank,
