The KASKELOT sailed into Plymouth on Thursday and is open for visitors over the Easter weekend.
She looks at home alongside the quays of the historic Barbican area.
Sailing her can't be that difficult because it all looks pretty simple and straightforward to me.
Built in 1948 in Denmark, I believe that KASKELOT, in Danish, means SPERM WHALE.
If we are very lucky with the weather when she leaves Plymouth, we might get the chance to she her charging across Plymouth Sound under full sail.
Ha, probably very easy to manage this fine ship.
ReplyDeleteThose ships are breathtakingly beautiful! I can close my eyes and imagine all kinds of pirates on them!
