In the deep mid Winter

Yesterday was crystal clear, without a breath of wind and out of the shadows as warm as Spring.

However today is forecast to see a return to normal; wind and rain.

I think it's the sunglasses and the facial expression that change one character into the other.

Another long, hot day begins for this "Barker".

This "Barker" spends his day shouting out the highlights of the of the various boat trips and ferry services

 that criss-cross Plymouth Sound and the rivers that flow into it,

as he seeks to encourage passing pedestrians to buy a ticket.

Have you ever managed to find

a table that does not wobble when stood on a cobbled quayside?

I would advise that you don't order the soup.

A great start to the day.

Sun, sea, good coffee and a leisurely read of the morning newspaper.

This is the closest I will get to Italy this summer.

Our recent spell of beautiful, sunny, dry  weather couldn't last for ever.

We may catch the odd shower before the end of the holiday weekend..
