Warning. Poetry can change your life.

This lady is clearly a fan of the poetry of Jenny Joseph

Warning by Jenny Joseph

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I’m tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people’s gardens
And learn to spit.

Are all dogs natural swimmers?

This couple are about to find out if their dog loves the water or hates it.

Well this dog loved posing for a photo at the water's edge, but

no amount of coaxing got it any farther out from the beach than this.

Dogs look up to us.

Cats look down on us.
Pigs treat us as equals.

How much is that doggy in the window?

If you can remember when that novelty song reached the Number One Spot
in the US and UK Charts, you're giving away your age away.
because the years were 1952 and 1953 respectively.

The Dog Runner

"Clear the way we're coming through!"
This chap and his two small dogs cut quite a swathe through the strollers
as they ran along the Waterfront.

Bad Hair day

It is said that there is no such thing as bad weather, only inadequate clothing.

This lady. in her Drover's coat and hat, seems ready for anything as she leads her dogs up to the high ground at Devil's Point, from  The Royal William Yard.

But there was one item missing.
A Chinstrap on her Drover's hat.
